About

Johnny Dørken Christiansen entered the patent profession in 2017, bringing with him 15 years of experience in research and development at a leading Danish industrial company. Before joining aera in 2025, Johnny served as an in-house patent attorney, where he was responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, handling oppositions, managing patent portfolios, and conducting competitor analysis.

He specializes in a broad range of technical fields, including electronics, software, and mechanics. With background as both an R&D engineer and patent attorney, Johnny has worked extensively on wireless communication for IoT devices, the standardization of communication protocols, and the mechanical and hardware aspects of sensors and measurement devices. Johnny enjoys combining technical, business, and legal insights to deliver robust, business-relevant protection for clients’ technologies and inventions.
