Kristine Schjerpen Snyder
Attorney-at-law (Norway), Off Counsel
Kristine is a Norwegian attorney-at-law, litigator, and strategic IP advisor who bridges the worlds of law, technology, and business. She combines deep experience in IP enforcement and litigation with a strong commercial perspective gained from leadership roles in the tech industry.
Over the past 17 years, Kristine has worked across the full spectrum of intellectual property — from prosecution and litigation to strategic advisory — helping clients turn IP into a driver for growth and innovation. She has represented both Norwegian and international companies in high-profile trademark and patent cases before the Norwegian courts and regularly advises on complex portfolio management, licensing, and commercialization strategies.
In addition to her legal practice, Kristine is the CEO of Nomono, a pioneering audio technology company. This dual perspective gives her unique insight into how businesses think, scale, and leverage IP as a competitive advantage.
Before joining Aera as off counsel, Kristine held partner and leadership positions at several leading IP firms in Norway and has been repeatedly listed as a WTR 1000 Recommended Individual. She is passionate about using IP to empower innovators, brands, and growth companies to succeed internationally.
In her own words (if this is to be included too?)
“I’ve always been guided by the intersection of business and law — where strategy meets execution. I began as a litigator, drawn to the precision and structure of IP law, but what truly fascinates me is how ideas become real — how strategy, law, and leadership together can turn innovation into value. Having worked both inside a tech company and in private practice, I’ve learned that the real power of IP lies not only in protection, but in its ability to drive innovation, create clarity, and build lasting businesses.”
