Anna-Kathrine (aka A-K) began as an IP professional in 2008 after obtaining her Cand.Polyt in Biotechnology from the Danish Technical University, in particular focusing on molecular biology, human physiology and parasitology.
Before joining aera in 2024, A-K has extensive experience as in-house counsel from some of the strong players within the pharmaceutical and biotechnological fields both nationally and internationally. Her work as in-house counsel encompassed all aspects of a patent’s lifecycle from invention harvesting, through drafting and prosecution to enforcement. Furthermore, she brings with her significant experience of conducting freedom-to-operation and due diligence analysis, business understanding and support, agreement contributions, and finally hands-on experience with regulatory affairs processes, FDA interaction and how to implement processes to secure loss-of-exclusivity processes across IP and regulatory affairs.
A-K has a pragmatic, easy-to-go-to and positive attitude which has been appreciated in all her previous employments. Clients equally benefit from her strong experience as well as her personality.
